I chose this colour from this year's new ones. Nordic Noir looked blue black in tone, possibly a variation on the classic Crystal Quartz. When it arrived I was delighted to find it's multi shades of lilac to purple, a delight. The excellent quality of the yarn is as always. I'm looking forward to using it.

Beautiful easy to knit wool
